Modern CribbageSeptember 30th to October 6th, 2007

I gave readers of the Blazing Games Development Blog a choice between releasing an episode of Dozen Days of Dice and the release of Modern Cribbage. While only one person bothered to email their choice to me, considering how few people read the development blog this is a major response (I wasn't expecting any reply so thanks). Of course, the choice was episode 36 of the Ultimate Retro project: Modern Cribbage.

One of those Weeks episode 32: Chasing CharlesOctober 7th to October 13th, 2007

What can I say? One of those Weeks Episode 32: Chasing Charles. The creature who's shadow you saw in your dream is revealed and it wants the three (yes three) of you to find Charles. Next week's game is not exactly a game, but is a special birthday present to myself, except it is being released to everyone. Sort of like giving my birthday present to everyone, except for the obvious fact that I would be releasing something anyway. My personal development blog will be revealing details over the coming week, so if you are curious read my development blog..

BioRhythmsOctober 14th to October 20th, 2007

After I had an argument with someone and some reason I ended up talking about biorhythms. Being a programmer, this immediately got me wanting to write my own biorhythm chart generator, which I did. As this week's release is the last release before my birthday, I decided that I would release this to the rest of the world. You can get a vague idea about what the argument I had was about by reading the overview page. I just must emphasis again that this is strictly for fun and this should not be taken seriously which is why it was placed in my silly stuff collection.

Making One of those Weeks episode 18: Completing the QuestOctober 21st to October 27th, 2007

It is time for another Open Source I am limiting myself to only 1 open source release every four weeks so I am sure the people out there who don't like being able to download a copy of one of my game and play it off line only will have to put up with this once a month. Of course, the current project that is being open sourced is One of those Weeks, so this week's release is the open source version of Episode 18: Completing the Quest. In addition, the Making of One of those Weeks eBook is also being updated today with the 18th chapter which covers the creation of this episode.

Threes dice gameOctober 28th to November 3rd, 2007

Threes is part of my Dozen Days of Dice series which is a game in a day challenge where I have to complete a game in under 24 hours. I have been slowly releasing the development diary I kept while putting together this game on the Blazing Games Development blog so those of you who are interested may wish to check that out. Quite simply, the game is based on a street game where the goal is to roll the lowest possible hand, with threes counting as zeros. There is actually a bit of strategy involved and the game is surprisingly entertaining so even if you don't care for dice games give this one a try.
