June 2007

Making One of those Weeks chapter 14May 27th to June 2nd, 2007

It has been an interesting vote, with the No side beating out the Yes side by a single vote and nobody at all voting for the compromise option. I have posted a very early build (more of an animation test) available if anybody want to see the animated status bar. This week's offering is the fourteenth chapter of Making One of those Weeks. It covers the fourteenth episode and how a forest was created.

Modern Melee Combat Deadly EditionJune 3rd to June 9th, 2007

The result of the poll last week was that most of you like magic but don't mind if it gets pushed back to the third (0.3) release of Coffee Quest Revenge. More details about the vote will be posted in the development blog. The question this week is very important so if you are NOT a Coffee Quest fan, be sure to vote. This week's game is an updated version of the Modern Melee Combat which was released last month. This version adds keyboard support, faster game play, and title screens. In addition there is a second set of arenas known as the Deadly Edition designed for those of you who thought the first set of arenas were a cakewalk

Fathers Day 2007June 10th to June 16th, 2007

First, lets just say that the poll results are that a Coffee Quest related choice will be included as a choice in all future Site Selected Game choice of next game polls. Detail results of the will be on my blog. This week's poll is an important decision about how One of those Weeks will be handled. A month ago I had my annual Mother's Day animation, so now that Father's day is this coming Sunday it is time for my Father's Day animation. I had a real cool idea for a golf related animation, but my Dad doesn't play golf so today's animation is kind of fishy.

One of those Weeks 28June 17th to June 23rd, 2007

One of those Weeks will continue on a monthly release schedule. There is not that much time left this month, so with that announcement, I suppose that I should release the final episode of Day 4. For those of you who complained about the length of the episodes, this episode should take you considerably longer to complete, but is still short enough to easily finish in a reasonable amount of time. Episode 28: Secrets Underground combines 3D exploration with a puzzle that can be deadly if care is not taken.

One of those Weeks 15 Open Source ReleaseJune 24th to June 30th, 2007

With the release of Episode 28 last week, I figure that I should start trying to get caught up with the release of the open source episodes so this week I am releasing the open source version of Episode 15. Open Source essentially means that you can freely use and distribute the episode. You can also make changes to the game as long as you follow the license (GPL) which essentially requires that you include the source for any changes you make. As for last week's poll, my artwork seems to be okay and nobody complained about the Flash 9 requirement that Coffee Quest Revenge is going to require.
