October 28th to November 3rd, 2007

Threes is part of my Dozen Days of Dice series which is a game in a day challenge where I have to complete a game in under 24 hours. I have been slowly releasing the development diary I kept while putting together this game on the Blazing Games Development blog so those of you who are interested may wish to check that out. Quite simply, the game is based on a street game where the goal is to roll the lowest possible hand, with threes counting as zeros. There is actually a bit of strategy involved and the game is surprisingly entertaining so even if you don't care for dice games give this one a try.

November 4th to November 10th, 2007

While it hasn't been that long since the last open source release, it is a new month so I have no problems with releasing the open source version of One of those Weeks episode 19. Along with the open source release, I am also releasing chapter 19 of Making of One of those Weeks. As with all the other chapters in this eBook, it starts out with a detailed walk through of the episode so if you were having problems finishing the episode or were not able to figure out how to get a perfect score, you may want to read this chapter.

November 11th to November 17th, 2007

Those of you who have been following my development blog have already heard that I am going to be developing a game for Google's Android phone platform. This uses a variation of Java as it's programming language which means that I am going to be much more Java focused. That is part of the reason why this week's game is Episode 50 of the Ultimate Retro Project: Modern Maze. This is a random maze generator that lets you go through the maze in 360 degree 3D.

November 18th to November 24th, 2007

It is time for the next episode of One of those Weeks. Episode 33: Mr. Puck's Field. While Mr. Puck is the key to this episode, it appears that it is a broken key and guess who has to figure out how to fix it? Of course, you do have Ykcul (the talking dog who claims she isn't a dog) to aid you.

November 25th to December 1st, 2007

While I completed this game a while ago, I am now releasing the next installment of my Dozen Days of Dice series. Episode 4: Poker Dice is a game of draw poker but played with six sided dice. I have decided how I am going to handle the series in the future, or at least I will if the trial next year works out, but that information is in my development blog.
