I had just started exploring this level when I was startled by a shadow and dropped a piece of magic paper. It resulted in a rather nice picture, Including a nice spell scroll in the background. The spell in this case was the fire-bolt spell. Fire bolt is the fire magic equivalent of energy bolt. It can be used in melee as well as for ranged combat.

A ladder up, but as I have barely started exploring this level I will hold off using it.

3:15 PM
Just as I started exploring some of the unexplored parts of this level, I came across another room with a spell scroll in it. This time it was the Armor spell. This is a more powerful version of the shield spell but as only one protective spell can be running at a time, I will have to wait until my shield spell expires before trying this spell. I suppose technically, I could cast this spell right now, but it would negate my shield spell and I hate to waist magic. After all, there are people who can't cast spells elsewhere in the world who would just love to have my shield spell so...

I seemed to have explored all the accessible areas of this level. Something is wrong here. So I started checking for a secret passage, though I can't believe that a secret passage would be required to solve this level as that is not the way of the bean. Still, I did find a secret room with a ring of fire in it. I recall Wilmag saying "Rings of Fire are worth Cash, Johnny" though I don't understand what he is saying as my name is not Johnny.

As confused as I was, I decided that I would use the ladder as there was no where else to explore. Then after climbing the ladder and starting to explore, I found there was another ladder leading down. That explains everything.

I found the Owl tile. Three tiles down, and three more to go.

Another ladder going up so I quickly made sure I finished exploring this section. Good thing too, as I found a secret door with plate armour behind it in the room with the ladder!

With all this up and down stuff, I am starting to feel like a yo-yo.

Found the color door for this level, but I still have most of the remaining half of this floor unexplored.

Found a suspicious space near where the color door is, so I quickly searched for a secret door. Sure enough I found one and discovered the Ring of Healing. This increases the effect of healing spells. As I don't cast healing spells all the time, it is not worth wearing the ring all the time. Putting the ring on just before casting a healing spell, however, will increase the healing effects of the spell so it is worth the effort to do this.

With the rest of the level explored, I can now go to the yellow door. While half of an hour was wasted making sure there was nothing else of interest on this level, backtracking to this level after finding out I am missing something once I have reached the top of the tower would have taken more than half an hour so it is well worth it. As yellow is a combination of red and green (yes, light takes a bit of time to get use to) the only color needed to be added to form white would be blue.
