The Six of Swords is associated with the time just after a loss or disaster when it is time for recovery. It is about the need to be more positive about life. You need to forget the past and remember that better times are ahead of you.

Sometimes the only way to put the past behind you is to change locations. As moving to get away from the past can be seen as running away instead of dealing with a problem, a journey may be a better solution. Note that a journey does not have to be a physical journey, but can also be a mental one. Expanding ones mind can often keep us focused on the future instead of constantly rehashing that which could have been if only things had been different.
