Mountain Layout (10:30 to 13:00)

Even though the work required to complete this block of work was easy, it was a bit more time consuming than I originally anticipated, but not by that much. The one problem that I seemed to have was caused by me not properly calculating things requiring that I spend additional time getting the hand-coded vector graphics to render properly.

The background is simply made up of a rectangle and a triangle, just like the flag. The difference is that the rectangle is used as the background (sky) and the triangle is used as a mountain. This is where my calculations went astray somehow making the triangle too skinny and to the right by a small amount. It took a few iterations to get the mountain correct, and even now it is slightly the wrong shape but not overly noticeable.

The placements of the flags are procedurally calculated and those calculations worked out quite well. My original thoughts were to have an array of points to use as guidelines for the flag placement but thankfully I came to my senses otherwise this part of the development would have taken even longer to finish.
