The Ten of Swords represents the martyr. This card is often considered negative but at Blazing Games, we look at the more positive aspects of this card. After all, a martyr is someone who is willing to sacrifice himself to advance the greater good. More to the point, sacrifice does not necessarily mean death but means giving up something. This may indicate that a turning point in a difficult situation has been reached. Sometimes we have to give up on something or someone and make a clean break. While endings are often hard, the end of something usually means the beginning of something new.

Trying to be a martyr is not always a good thing. Is the sacrifice really worthwhile? Sometimes self-pity can cause us to exaggerate our problems. While it may feel as if the entire universe is against you, this usually is not the case.
