Solving the Game

As with any adventure style of game, the fun of the game is gained by solving the puzzles. Still, there are occasions when you do get stuck. My personal rule of thumb when playing an adventure or role-playing game is to not look at any type of walk-through unless I have been stuck for at least half-an-hour and that is assuming that there is no other exploration that can be done. I do, however, look at combat, monster, and equipment charts. Still, for those of you who are stuck, here is a step by step walk-through of the episode. I recommend that you only read up to the part that you are stuck on.

1. The first thing that you have to do is figure out a way of untying yourself. The problem is that the only object that you are able to interact with is a sack of potatoes. While the potatoes may not directly help you untie yourself, they can be used as amulti-step plan for untying yourself. So, kick over potatoes.

2. How exactly can a potato be useful for helping untie yourself? Unless you are an escape artist, the easiest way of getting untied is to cut the ropes tying you. This requires something sharp, like broken glass. Kicking a potato at the light bulb is good way of creating broken glass.

3. Now that the light bulb is broken, you should be able to find a piece of broken glass which you can use to untie yourself.

4. The door is locked, so you need to figure out a way to pick the lock. This requires some type of metal wire. Old light bulbs use a metal filament which could be used. But the light was on when you broke the bulb, which means that electricity is going to kill you if you try to remove the remains of the light bulb from the socket. Therefore, you need to turn off the light switch (which if you are not sure about if it is on or off, the off position is down).

5. If you stand on the table, you can reach the light bulb, but you can not remove it. If you have ever had this happen to you, you may know the potato trick that is used in this game. In real life, if you are going to use this trick, you might want to turn off the main power to be absolutely sure that you don't electrocute yourself. To get the half potato, use the glass on the potatoes on the floor.

6. Stand on the table and use the half-potato to get the filament.

7. Get off the table and then use the filament on the door's lock to pick the lock and get out of the room just in the nick of time.
