Planning

Everest is a dice game where players try to be the first to flag all 24 slots by forming combinations of numbers. While normally the numbers are written as a 12x12 box, I envision more of a mountain shape so in my game I plan on having a "mountain" in the background and flags up and down the mountain. The five steps I have broken down the game into (and my time estimates just for fun) are:

Creating a Flag (1/2-1 hour)
Mountain Layout (1-2 hours)
Dice Combinations (1-2 hours)
Game play (1-2 hours)
AI/Gold (2-3 hours)

So, if my predictions are accurate, I should finish the game in5 1/2 to 10 hours so it should be a short development today if things go smoothly. The real question is which section are my estimates way off on and that I will be cursing about as midnight rapidly approaches? Keep reading and find out!
