October 29th to November 4th

If you haven't voted for the special vote started on October 31, please do so as the vote will be over on November 4th. Today's game is actually quite interesting as I had created it a while ago but couldn't figure out how to solve it. Once I finally got around to researching the solution, I discovered that it was in fact not solvable. A little bit of searching lead to alternative layouts that were solvable so I am using an alternative layout. The game of course is the French version of the Solitaire Board game, and the objective is to eliminate all but one marble and have that last marble be in the center of the board.

November 5th to Novemer 11th, 2006

It has been a while since I have done anything with my One of those Weeks series, though thankfully I haven't been getting nasty email about it. To remedy this situation, I am going to have a bit of a burst of releases. The first release being a double release. I am releasing both the open source version of One of those Weeks episode 8 as well as releasing the eighth chapter of the making of eBook. Why this double release? Well, the chapter is kind of weak due to the overly story-oriented nature of episode 8 so I figured I would be nice and group them together. As for my open source vote, I am going to start listing the actual number of votes received for the various games when the winning project is announced on Sunday. Currently there is a race on between Melee Combat and Coffee Quest GL.

November 12th to November 18th

The wait for a new episode of One of those Weeks is finally over as today I am releasing Episode 21: The Raft. There is only one more episode left in day 3 which will be released before the end of the year unless something drastic happens. I am hoping to have the episodes that make up day 4 and 5 released next year and the episodes for the remainder of the series in 2008. Work on Coffee Quest GL is now starting to happen (a link to my Open GL spinning cube is on the coming soon page) but I am thinking that CQFS development would probably go a lot quicker and result in a better product if I was using some application only oriented java libraries. So I am asking my visitors this week what they think of downloads?

November 19th to November 25th

Not as many people voted last week as I would have liked, so I am going to keep the poll open another week. If you have already voted, please do not vote again (though feel free to continue voting on the Coming Soon page) as the goal of the weekly pole is to get a representation of what my visitors want. This week is a double release week as the open source version of One of those Weeks episode 9 has been released as well as the chapter 9 from the Making of One of those Weeks eBook.
