Another Tour of the Island

Anybody who has read any of the earlier chapters already knows my stance on walk thoughts. Still, sometimes what is obvious to the person designing the puzzle is not obvious to the person playing the game. I know I have been stuck on puzzles that probably should have been obvious. What I am going to try doing on these walk through segments from here on is provide hints before the ultimate solution. That way people who are truly stuck might be able to still solve the puzzle without the solution being handed to them on a platter. For the sake of completeness I will still give you the platter as well so if you are stuck and don't want the puzzle spoiled then don't read too far ahead.

You start out this episode outside the cave with the ax that you retrieved in the previous episode. The first thing that you need to decide is where to build the raft. Obviously you are going to need someplace that is near the water. Perhaps somewhere you could see the shore if you were on the rock. Certainly a location that is away from Charles' cave as you just "borrowed" his ax and he might not like that fact. So head to the beach and go to the area on the right. Use the ax on the trees to get the raft building underway.

After the logs are laid out to build the raft, you get some unexpected help but now are on a quest to get some oranges. If you have been playing the game up to this point then you should have a good idea of how to get the oranges. Of course, the former guardian of Mr. Puck is back, but if you were paying attention to your surroundings on the way to the orchard you should have already picked up the item that you need to placate the beast. Those less observant players should pick up the nut that is by the fire and then give the nut to the squirrel. With the guardian beast taken care of, you can complete your quest. Simply click on the oranges to grab some.

You now have everything you need to finish this episode. Simply return to Charles and give him the orange.
