Maze 3D for the Atari 2600

Maze3D for the 2600

I normally do not like having downloadable games but was not able to find a open source JavaScript emulator for the Atari 2600 game that I created. This game was inspired from my Coffee Quest 2600 project to actually prove that my method of 3D generation on the Atari would work. This is a 2K cartridge with no extra RAM. If I was creating a RPG on the Atari, I would use a bank-switching cartridge with extra RAM on it

This is a game for the 2600 so you will need an emulator. The emulator used in developing the game was Stella. You can download Stella from http://stella.sourceforge.net/.Some people have the notion that emulators are illigal. They are not. Copyright infringment, however, is illegal but since you have my permission to download and play my game, there are no issues at all.

The game is fairly simply. press the joystick button (spacebar for keyboard users) to start. Use the joystick to move and turn. The compass at the top shows your current direction. The goal of the game is to find the exit to the maze. There is only one map (though there was actually a lot of extra space on the cartridge)

The zip file for my game is here. If there is enough interest, I will release the source code for this game.
